Building Fund
Building the future one brick at a time.
We firmly believe that it is very important that the Democratic Party in Henderson County should have a very visible presence, particularly because the County is heavily Republican. To that end, we are actively soliciting contributions for the Building Fund.

In the early 1990's, the Henderson County Seniors Club dreamed of having a permanent headquarters for the County Party. They began collecting money for that purpose. The fund grew very, very slowly, partially because it was invested very conservatively in savings accounts and CD’s. In 2011, it was decided that a new strategy should be adopted if we were ever going to be able to realize the dream of a permanent headquarters. So the money was taken out of CD’s and was invested in good stocks. Over the past 10 years, the value of the fund has more than tripled. But we are still only about a third of the way to being able to purchase a headquarters.
